LOCATION: New Zealand, Northern Island
CONTRACT LENGTH: Long-term contract, 2-year commitment minimum, 3-month probation period
SCHEDULE: 44 hours per week
CRITERIA:
- Eligibility to register with the Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ)
- Two years minimum of clinical practice experience in Mental Health in the last 5 years
- Must achieve a minimum score of 7 in each band of the IELTS academic test / must achieve a minimum score of 350 for each band of the OET test
- Salary is commensurate to the candidate's profile and experience (following the DHBs scale for Nursing https://www.nzno.org.nz/Portals/0/Files/Documents/Groups/Health%20Sectors/2018-08-23-NZNO-DHB-MECA-2018-2020.pdf)
- Overtime paid x1.5 the first 3 hours, x2 after 3 hours
- On-call duties paid an extra $8 per hour
- 4 weeks of annual leave + 11 days of Public Holidays
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients according to accepted nursing practise and standards
- Work in consultation with other health professionals and members of health teams and coordinating the care of patients
- Provide interventions, treatments, and therapies such as medications, and monitors responses to treatment and care plans
- Promote health and assist in preventing ill health by participating in health education and other health promotion activities
- Answer questions and providing information to patients and families about treatment and care
- Supervise and coordinate the work of enrolled nurses and other health care workers
