The Prodie Santé commitment to The UN Global Compact

In September 2020, Prodie Santé decided to commit to the United Nations Global Compact. Conscious that a sustainable business approach is the only way for a better future, Prodie Santé stands with the UN Global Compact principles in the areas of human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption.

Why Prodie Santé decided to join the UN Global Compact as a Gold Donor

Prodie Santé has been acting for more than 20 years to provide easier health access worldwide while fighting for the respect of fundamental rights. As such, the company feels aligned with the UN Global Compact values, which motivated the team to join the organization.

As a new joiner of the UN Global Compact, Prodie Santé decided to be implicated in all the 17 sustainable development goals proposed by the organization, focusing the efforts on several ones based on the year and the circumstances of its activity.

To support the UN Global Compact initiative, Prodie Santé registered as a Gold Donor. This way, the medical staffing agency supports the organization's values by financing the different projects aimed to make the world a better place. This initiative also enables Prodie Santé to participate in the organization's next events, meet its members and share ideas.

Prodie Santé commits to publishing its "Communication on Progress" each year. This report will highlight Prodie Santé's progress in its commitment to the sustainable development goals.

When the company applied to the UN Global Compact, it was already clear that no habits change was needed to respect the principles and Sustainable Development Goals. However, being a new joiner to the organization gives the motivation to strengthen even more the sustainability perspective.

The world deserves to reach a better health level, and this is why Prodie Santé has been aiming to provide the best professionals in the most needed areas for more than 20 years.

Prodie Santé's values match

the UN Global Compact principles

The United Nations Global Compact is part of the United Nations organization. It represents over 9,500 companies and 3,000 non-business participants that are committed to building a sustainable future. The organization follows 10 principles for a more sustainable world. By committing to the UNGC, Prodie Santé respects and spreads its principles while accomplishing its mission: providing physicians to medical entities and solving the international medical shortage.

Along this year, Prodie Santé focused on applying these principles to one of its biggest projects of all times: helping free Cuban doctors from Doctor's Reserve Association, to get medical missions worldwide.

On its journey to help Doctor's Reserve Association find human missions and jobs at a fair price, Prodie Santé stands particularly with the following principles regarding Human Rights, International Working Norms, and the fight against corruption:

The support and respect of international human rights

The support and respect of international human rights

The company's goal is to guarantee Human Rights respect, offering Cuban doctors from Doctor's Reserve Association the life that every human has the right to have, fair and honest.

The non-complicity in human rights abuses

The non-complicity in human rights abuses

Doctor's Reserve members suffered from human rights abuse in the past. It is Prodie Santé's duty to make sure this won't happen anymore in their life.

The elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation

Prodie Santé is committed to fight all kinds of discrimination based on religion, gender and ethnicity. Thus, it seems entirely coherent to apply the same bases to its collaboration with doctors.

The fight against corruption in all its forms

The fight against corruption in all its forms

Prodie Santé stands against all types of corruption, offering the medical brigade services to governments everywhere in the world for an economical price.

The Sustainable Development Goals

followed by Prodie Santé in 2020

The following Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) are related to Prodie Santé’s collaboration with Doctor's Reserve Association. They are also linked to different philanthropic projects of the company:

SDG 3: Good Health

Prodie Santé helps the free Cuban doctors (Doctor's Reserve Association) find new missions since they are needed in many countries to fight the pandemic situation. Prodie Santé also knows that for every doctor missing, hundreds of people are dying every day because they did not receive the required treatments.

La chaîne de l'espoir is a French association that performs surgeries on over 5,000 children in 30 different countries every year. Prodie Santé helps them find health professionals for their facilities around the world, at no cost. In the past years, the team recruited gynecologists to

give support to the association in Afghanistan. Thereby, hundreds of mothers and children's health are preserved and taken care of in the world's most vulnerable places.

Prodie Santé has been collaborating with Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders since February 2020. The aim is to provide medical assistance in 72 countries with neutrality and impartiality. This collaboration is done in the name of medical ethics to people affected by natural disasters, disease epidemics, malnutrition crises, armed conflicts, and other emergencies in developing countries and developed countries. The next campaign will send 11 Prodie Santé specialists to reinforce Médecins sans Frontières medical teams worldwide.

The SDG 3 is probably the goal that Prodie Santé will keep on developing every year. As a medical staffing agency, the company's mission is to provide health where it is needed by recruiting qualified physicians for the places where they are most needed.

SDG 10: Reduce Inequalities

Finding new missions for Doctor's Reserve Association, Prodie Santé makes sure that all doctors are paid by its employer at a fair price, reducing the inequalities they have always suffered from while working for the Cuban government.

SDG 16: Peace and Justice

Prodie Santé has no interest in politics in its adventure to find missions for the free Cuban doctors. The objective is to bring peace and justice in their lives, which they have been deprived of for so long after running away from their government's inhuman conditions.

SDG 17: Partnerships for the goals

Prodie Santé estimates that the collaboration with Doctor's Reserve Association is a win-win situation for every stakeholder. On one side, there are countries with serious medical staffing needs, and on the other side the company has daily contact with hundreds of qualifieddoctors, who are available to go there and operate instantly.

It is what Gilles Campedel, CEO of Prodie Santé, communicated during the press conference "622 Cuban doctors Vs. Cuban government".

Prodie Santé is thrilled to join in this new adventure. The entire team wants to use the opportunity given to be an exemplary company and encourage others to follow the same path. It is just the beginning of a new era. Follow this new story together with Prodie Santé!
