Global Compact

Prodie Santé's commitment to the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC).

In September 2020, Prodie Santé decided to support the United Nations Global Compact. Conscious that a sustainable business approach participates in building a better future and promotes a fairer world economy, Prodie Santé stands with the the Global Compact's founding principles.

As a medical staffing agency, we are committed to supporting and promoting the principles that consolidate the UNGC and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in human rights, labour standards, and the fight against corruption.

Shared values

We have been acting for more than 20 years to provide easier health access worldwide while fighting for the respect of the medical workforce's fundamental rights.

As a new member of the UNGC, Prodie Santé has decided to get involved in the 17 SDGs proposed by the Organization, focusing his efforts on some specific goals linked to its activity. Goal 3 of the SDGs for example, emphasises the need to improve healthcare quality and access to health. Our primary mission is precisely to guarantee access to medical care through our team of professionals.

To support the United Nations Global Compact initiative, Prodie Santé registered as a Gold Donor of Singapore's Global Network. This way, the medical staffing agency endorses the UN values by financing different projects aimed at building a better world. This initiative also enables Prodie Santé to participate in the international organisation's upcoming events, meet its members, and share ideas with companies and initiatives from other sectors of activity.

Furthermore, Prodie Santé commits to publishing its “Communication on Progress (COP)” every year. This annual activity report of the company will highlight our project's progress in its commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals. Our participation in the Global Compact represents an excellent opportunity to strengthen our will to respond to the planet's challenges.

Access to medical care and health are universal rights. Therefore our goal

remains to provide the best professionals in all healthcare areas, whenever and wherever they are most needed

Active participation

The UNGC is a United Nations initiative launched in 2000 to encourage companies worldwide to adopt a socially responsible attitude by committing to integrating and promoting several principles relating to human rights, international labour standards, the environment, and the fight against corruption. Almost 9,500 companies from 100 countries and 3,000 non-commercial partners have signed it. By committing to the UNGC, Prodie Santé respects and follows these principles while accomplishing its mission: To provide doctors to medical institutions and overcome the international medical shortage.

We have recently been focusing on applying these principles in one of our missions: Volunteering to help Cuban doctors of the Doctor's Reserve Association get medical pursuing their work around the world.

In our journey to help this association, but also during our many missions, we strive to integrate the SDGs daily by:

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at Prodie Santé in 2020

The SDGs that we want to achieve are linked to the collaboration of Prodie Santé with several philanthropic and humanitarian projects:

SDG 3: Access to healthcare

We coordinate and help doctors in finding new missions during the COVID-19 pandemic. The current situation requires having all our teams and professionals available to fight against the devastating impact of COVID 19.

La chaîne de l’espoir is a French organisation that provides specialised medical and surgical services to underprivileged children worldwide (5,000 children in 30 different countries every year). Prodie Santé helps them finding healthcare professionals, in particular gynaecologists and paediatricians, free of charge worldwide. In recent years, we have recruited specialists to support the organisation’s mission in Afghanistan. By helping La chaîne de l’espoir our company provides access to healthcare for mothers and children in the most vulnerable regions of the planet.

We have established specific collaboration with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF). The aim was to provide medical assistance in 72 countries where MSF operates impartially. This partnership was created specifically to bring medical aid to people affected by natural disasters, epidemics, famines, armed conflicts and any other emergency in developed countries and developing countries.

SDG 3 will be our main SDG goal because as a medical recruiting agency, our mission is to provide medical assistance, help people and save lives.

SDG10: Reduce inequalities

We want to promote equal opportunities and gender equality and help the most vulnerable.

Our teams reflect our desire to encourage diversity within our company. Our internal policy is based on tolerance and meritocracy.

On the other hand, with the spread of COVID-19, inequalities are growing, leaving vulnerable populations particularly exposed. We have decided to offer Prodie Santé services ad honorem to several countries in difficulty to be able to quickly send doctors to the field and try to stem the health crisis.

SDG 16: Peace and Justice

Prodie Santé fully subscribes to the culture of peace as defined by UNESCO in 1999: "based on respect for life, the rejection of violence and the promotion of peace and non-violence through education, dialogue and cooperation ". All our philanthropic activities reflect our commitment towards the promotion of freedom, democracy, solidarity and cultural diversity.

SDG 17: Partnerships for meeting the UNGC goals

We believe that collaborating with non-profit organisations leads to win-win partnerships. We know that together we can effectively mobilise available medical staff to cover all health needs in very complex emergency contexts.
