La Chaîne de l'Espoir: Putting children first
Founded in 1994 by Professor Alain Deloche, La Chaîne de l'Espoir is a Medico-Chirurgical network, currently directed by Dr. Eric Cheysson, that provides help and support to children in need.
The driving conviction behind this humanitarian project is to leave no children to its fate.
The rigorous, respectful, and coherent management ables the organization to offer access to healthcare and education to children worldwide.
La Chaîne de l'Espoir and the French Medical Institute for Mothers and Children in Afghanistan:
In 2005, not far from the ruins of the former Kaboul's Hospital, La Chaîne de l'Espoir, and Enfants Afghans built the French Medical Institute for Children. Ten years later, in a broken country, this institution is a "bandage at the very heart of Afghanistan," according to reporter François-Julien Piednoir.
In 2008, after building the French Medical Institute for Children, La Chaîne de l'Espoir expanded its medico-chirurgical outreach by opening a brand new building dedicated to Gynecology, Obstetrics, and Neonatology. These three specialties are fundamental needs in a country where 1 in 32 women die giving birth.
With more than 20 years of experience in the recruitment of medical doctors, Prodie Santé saw its principles of inclusion and fairness represented in La Chaîne de l'Espoir. As a result, helping the organization with the sourcing of qualified medical doctors at no cost became self-evident.
Prodie Santé: A philanthropic contribution
We are proud to assist Agnès Simon, coordinator and project leader for the mother-children programs, with the recruitment of Obstetrician-Gynecologists.
A year ago, Prodie Santé recruited Dr. Amelie Grouin, who became the first Prodie Santé candidate to join La Chaîne de l'Espoir in Kabul. This year, Dr. Safia Djellali will also participate and support the team in Afghanistan in December.
